It was a hot day in Perth and there was a storm building up to the north east. It looked like it was going to stay to the east and miss Perth all together. But at sunset I went out and could see lightning strike close by, so I quickly scrambled to get my camera gear together and headed out straight away.
I decided to head up to Kings Park to get a good view of the City and the storm passing through. I was lucky enough to capture a few good bolts over the top of the city.
It was amazing to be out there amongst the storm and feeling that humidity, smelling the rain and seeing the lightning striking all around.
